Copy of letter about
our need for people to do basic jobs
Herewith copy of letter
to Rugby schoolmaster about our need for people and money. In view of his position, I have only
referred to jobs which retired people such as himself, who do not need any
support because of their pensions, might consider suitable. But there are plenty of jobs available of a
useful, but less statusful, kind.
I would be perfectly
prepared to regard someone working as a full-time cleaner and gardener as a
real partner in the situation, since the people doing ostensibly more
intellectual things, such as investment, could not do them without the support
of people fulfilling these other functions.
I would wish anyone in such a position ultimately to benefit from the
success which are we are aiming to achieve.
